1. Happy with product
I viewed the Motorola video demonstrating the product before I made my purchase. The product has performed as expected and I am happy with the purchase. My Razr M is in a protective plastic case. The Navigation Dock is supplied with shims thus allowing three configurations. (1) With a thin case, (2) With a thick case and (3) Without a case. I used the shim for With a thin case, and it works great. I am using the suction cup mount and have tried it in several vehicles. So far it has been a sturdy, reliable mount. The special nav screen pops up when the phone is mounted into the dock. The screen is convenient and functional though I have only used the navigation and phone functions so far. I recommend this purchase.
2. The best dock yet.
I've owned several car docks for several phones over the years. And this one is the best.
Motorola finally got it right. They used to make their docks to fit only a naked phone, limiting your ability to dress your phone in any skin or case.
This dock is oversized for the fattest outerwear, then you are given inserts for thinner skins or no case at all. SMART. I don't use any cover on the RAZR M given it's ruggedness.
It is very easy to pop this phone in and out. The phone slides straight down onto the plug-in. And the fastener holding it in place flips up and down simply and securely.

Doesn't work with OtterBox...
I have the OtterBox Commuter case on my RAZR M and I love it. I was really looking forward to getting the vehicle navigation dock to make using the phone while driving that much easier and more safe. I was very disappointed to find that the dock does not work with the Commuter case. I can get the phone into the dock with some coercing but it won't fully engage the usb plug which means no charging, no vehicle navigation menu, no point! Now I'm forced to decide if I'm going to try a different case (I love the OtterBox Commuter), remove the phone from case when I need to put it in the dock (a major pain), or just send this dock back to Amazon.
I think it was a major oversight on Motorola's part to make this dock so that it wouldn't work with the (arguably) most popular brand of cell phone cases on the market.
