I purchased this for a 2011 Nissan Rogue, knowing that the style of the dash had changed slightly. Not to worry, this does work perfectly in the current year's model as well, although the position is slightly higher than that shown in the photo, but not by much.

The instructions on this are pretty abysmal, even for the prior years. It leaves out steps and while you can figure it out, it makes the job more difficult.

The instructions for 2011 should read:

1. Using a dash removal tool or a rigid piece of flat plastic (do not use metal), carefully pry up the shifter bezel, starting closest to the rear and then working to the two froward clips. These are quite stubborn, but once you have one out, the others are easier. Remove and set aside.
2. Using the dash tool, carefully pry out the climate control panel. Start at the bottom left and right, then once those have been removed, lift up and gently work out the panel until free. It's not necessary to...

I don't know how long it will last. I own two of these and they are cheap as hell should be more like 5 bucks instead of 50. I understand the market for these is really small so you can get a premium for them. Unfortunately, the plastic piece that holds the phone itself and is separate from the mount is no longer holding the phone and my phone pops off as I'm driving. I contacted Amzer to inquire about a replacement of just the plastic piece which must cost pennies to make but was told I have to return the entire item to Amazon.com I can no longer recommend this product and would look for a more sturdy mount that holds the phone tighter.

Used this for the first time today in a MINI Cooper with my Palm Pre. Works great! There's space in the bracket to plug in the charger while I'm driving and the extra gooseneck length gives you mounting options. This thing is sturdy and does take both hands to bend the arm around. While I decided to mount on the windshield, it does come with what appears to be a dashboard mount as well. The picture is a little deceiving in that the side holders aren't nearly as big as pictured but it does hold the Pre in...

2. works well for 2011 Hyundai Sonata
I bought this for my wife, since she is very dependent on GPS for driving around. I liked the fact that this is long enough to reach from the base of the windshield to be at a convenient location close enough to the driver (next to the steering and half-arm length).

Taking 1 star away because initially the phone would fall off each time there was any road vibration: the arm would cantilever all over the place and the frame wasn't strong enough to hold the Pre. However moving the arm lower and flattening it against the dash seemed to solve that issue. The arm doesn't move as much and the phone hasn't fallen off since in nearly 1000 miles of driving. it would be nice if there was someone how a tighter clasp on the phone.

Agree with only other reviewer here: the photo is different from the actual device. The holder does not have such big "side wings" to hold the device in place. Once i solved the shaking issue, this seems like a thoughtfully designed product: you...

The product is solidly constructed and seems to work well in the vehicle. We have had no issue with the phone falling out. It is shorter than the phone however, so laying the phone flat is not recommended. I fits the iphone nicely in a vertical position, but does feel like the phone can come out with no restraint across the front. The phone has not come out in three weeks of use however, so maybe it isn't needed. Also with no other restraint user has access to the phone (maybe to much!). We are looking forward to using it in a golf cart as my wife uses her phone as gps device for golf. Then it will be put to a test.

Once mounted, my BlackBerry is in the perfect position on my bike. It's out of the way but easy to read, which is wonderful when you are using your GPS function. Also you can read email without having to remove the BlackBerry from the mount.

There are 2 problems with the item. First,the mount did not fit my handlebars. The clamp is too small and it's not sufficiently adjustable. I had to use plastic cable ties to make it work. Second, when in the mount, the Left Side Convenience Key on my BlackBerry is pushed down. I had to deactive the function to solve the problem.

Still, it's the best product I've found and it gets the job done.

2. Recommend with reservations
I agree that the handlebar mound is for much smaller handlebars with no easy adjustment. Secondly, the phone came flying out it I hit a small bump in the road. Had to use a cable tie to hold it on the mount.

I have a 6" panavise arm attached to it and a Samsung 8" android tablet velcro'ed on the end. Works great except the mount only has one piece that mounts, so there is no other "leg" or other support item, which means you get a little bit of vibration. What I ended up doing was taking a piece of a wood dowel and wedged it between the mount and the lock for the glove box. It's only about 4" long and I can't see it while driving (it is noticeable from passenger side, but not bad). It takes out nearly all the vibrations. Having an 8" display for Waze is amazing versus the stock navigation unit.

Seems funny reveiwing a bracket, but after all, it has a job to do and this one does it well. I bought it for a 2003 Lexus ES300 to retrofit a charging saddle for my iPhone. 1. Okay for small objects
This car mount is installed very easily. I did it in less than 5 minutes, but I've had the center console apart before. Its cut to fit well and the trim snaps back in place with no modifications. You should be able to remove it later with no trace it was there. The downside of this mount is that it isn't particularly stable. Its just a relativity thin sheet of steel on one axis and likes to vibrate on that axis (near vertical.) This might not be a problem if you're mounting a small device holder close to the mount plate. However is a issue with larger objects. I have a RAM system with a 3.5" arm attached to this plate and it likes to vibrate when the car is in motion. It doesn't make the GPS unusable or anything, but it does make fine text harder to read on the move. If you have a heavier device or particularly if you're using an arm mount I would think about getting a more secure mount plate.

I got this mount for my wife's 2005 legacy GT and use it with the Panavise 15575 phone holder. The car has the JDM climate control and an aftermarket 7" LCD Double din radio installed so the fit was not exact like it should be, but it still works fine.

Also, when I ride as a passaged being tall I have longer legs and I hit my leg on the mount if I am not care getting in to the car.

1. Works well in Jeep Cherokee, very flexible and adjustable
I like this much better than any of the dash-mounted holders I've used in the past. Very sturdy doesn't feel like it would come apart or the plastic would snap easily. My biggest concern was how adjustable the grips for the blackberry device would be. I use the "Otter Box" shell on my BB which is significantly larger than the standard BB skins/shells. I was pleased to find that the grips are extremely adjustable and my BB fit fine. The grips are so adjustable that my Garmin GPS fits in the grips as well!

2. GREAT Product!
This is a great product. It is so easy to install and it is sturdy and secure. It is easy secure and remove your phone and the flexible arm makes it easy to position the phone the most comfortable spot for you. Just recently my phone and this holder were stolen from my car. While the inconvenience of getting a new phone was bad, I was more upset about the loss of the holder.

1. A good solution.
I was looking for a good spot to mount my GPS so I decided to get this. It installs easily. There are two clips on the left panel piece. Starting from the bottom, use a panel removal tool and pry up. Once the first clip pops, pry the panel up. Then hit the top clip.

The screw to mount to is a simple phillips head standard screw. Mount the Paravise and then pop the panel back on and you're done. My complaint is that the bracket doesn't sit totally flush to the left which makes getting the panel back on tricky. It also vibrates a bit over bumpy roads which can get annoying.

Depending on what you're mounting, it may block the path between you and your AC vent which is also troubling. It sticks out enough though to make easy clearance with the instrument gauges though which is good.

All in all, it's a nice little piece and it doesn't require you drilling holes. I like it

2. Just what I was looking for...
It is very stable and easy to install. Although the piece for the holder was not angled correctly (it faced too much upward so I got the sun glare) but I purchased the ball mount and that fixed it.

I loved this cover for my phone but u must still buy a screen protector for ur phone also, the MAJOR FLAW is that it doesn't have an opening for where the charger needs to go into ur phone so when u charge it u have to open the bottom which is held together by VELCRO as a result now mine has become kind of loose/slack in that spot from opening it every day while charging.

1. Good while it lasted.
I received this product quickly after ordering it and was very satisfied with the design. I needed something to hold my smart phone in my car and it worked very well with the limited places I could put it. Well, that was until it broke. Only six months of very mild use and the device broke at the ball joint. I say mild use because I never really moved it around. I only put the phone in and out of the spring loaded clamp. This time I wanted to pivot my device so I could get to a knob behind it and it instantly snapped. The device was not forced roughly or anything like that. Since it was in my car, I believe any heat could have made the plastic weaker. Since it was plastic, I can't expect it to last forever; but I do expect to get more that six months out of it. I really wish companies would stop making so many disposable products.

BTW, there is only a 30 day guarantee, of course.

I adore this little case, that I'm using for my iphone. It has magnetic closures, and a little pocket you can put your driver's license in (careful no credit/debit cards or hotel card keys! the magnets can demagnetize them).

The design is really great. It does present the bracket nicely holds and presents my phone beautifully. The suction design works great for me. You do have to provide a stable flat surface to stick a disc somewhere to attach the sucker to. The form factor is deceivingly small which is wonderful so not to cut into view out of the car. Excellent.

2. Tiny Awesomeness!!
I love this thing...Its small enough to hold the phone just right in any position. Way better option then having buy a dock for each specific phone every time i change my phone. I bough a HTC nexus one dock spent $80 then almost bought a HTC one X dock for like $40 which turned out to be really huge so returned that and didn't wanna spend another $60 on the One X specific dock, esp. since im thinking about getting the Galaxy S3 at some point. This dock is perfect fits any phone. Pair this with a ProClip Product and you're good.

Very disappointed! it keeps on falling from dashboard .Better glue to secure it would make it excellent. I had to plaster it with "crazy glue and foam tape" not fun.

1. Didnt care for the swivel
I thought this would be great for my razar maxx but didn't fit well on my windshield and ph just seemed to be to big. After a couple of uses the base came off! Ended up buying a new different model through verizon itself.

2. Nice little windshield mount
This is a nice little inexpensive windshield mount which I use for my Droid Razr Maxx. Fits snugly and makes my navigation and other droid based apps available. While I have navigation built-in to my own car, when I'm travelling and renting a car I usually have to also rent a navigation system. Now I can forego that extra cost and still get good navigation and traffic alerts on my cell. Because the mount is light and foldable and I can carry it easily in a pocket or my briefcase, it's a good addition to my road warrior arsenal. I recommend this product.

**Additional info: Its been a month or two since I bought this product and it also works well with my daughter's iPhone so I gave it to her and I will happily buy another one. One of my best purchases. **

exactly what I wanted
Having recently broken the official Motorola car dock for my previous phone, a Droid 2, because I'd overtightened one of the joints in an attempt to keep the thing from jiggling all the time, I wanted a sturdier replacement for my new Droid Razr. The Boxwave TinyMount is the ideal replacement. It holds the phone securely, with very little jiggle, because the only joint is quite snug & stable. It adjusts easily & has a much lower profile than my previous dock, so there's less obstruction of my view.

My only suggestion for improvement, would be one or two small channels into which I could route the USB & audio jack cables to keep them easily & neatly accessible. My current solution, wrapping the cables around the joint of the mount, is acceptable but messy.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this product to anyone.

I just got this nice car dock for the Samsung Vibrant today. While the design and manufacturing are great and go very well with the style of the Vibrant phone itself, I am still very dissappoint by the product.

The reason for this is very simple and hopefully will get fixed in the future: The original headphone 3.5mm jack is not accessible while the phone sits in the cradle. This should not be a problem, since there is a line out jack on the cradle itself, too! However, currently the jack is not operational! It is actually mentioned on the packaging and the manual, but is still frustrating. The reason for this is, that the line out jack is not a feed through of the headphone jack of the phone, but is somehow wired to the Micro-USB connector of the phone. Unfortunately, the Vibrant is not able to make use of this line out wired over the USB until it will have received a software upgrade to Android 2.2 aka Froyo. While this should not be in a too distant future it is still...

2. It really does work!
At first I couldn't get the audio output to work and left a negative review that I had retract. I went back out to my car and I guess maybe the jack wasn't all the way in the first time, but it works now! YAY!

**LET ME ADD for those who say this does not work with the Android 2.2 upgrade...When inserting the phone into the cradle be SURE that you press the micro USB port so that it is securely attached to your phone. That was what I did wrong the first few tries and it would not play music. Once I relized that the USB port on the cradle slides up and down I knew what I did wrong.

This window mount looks great in the car. Phone is easily accessible and no more taking my eyes off the road while I am driving. Great product!

This item worked really well with my gs3; however after about 5-6 months the stem started slipping over from side to side; the area right above where you tighten the joint. It shouldn't have done that. & I'm using for a usb charger. It won't hold up my phone any more, but is still useful. I have a 2006 Nissan Altima & where my lighter is located I had to really bend this mount in sn odd way. It would have been helpful if I could have adjusted the height.

A while back I got one of these for my wife for her Galaxy Nexus (also worked for her Motorola Razr M) for our Odyssey. It fit perfectly into the side window. It also held my Nexus S without problems. The suction cup mount works very well and it has never come off. 1. Works but a little on the flimsy side
This works okay. I like using it in the car because I use my Storm as a GPS. When I am using it as a GPS and recharging it and making a phone call, it overheats, so I keep it mounted against the vent with the AC on and that cools it down (a very low-tech solution).

The mount does not tilt. It only rotates, so I can't get an ideal viewing angle for the GPS. Maybe it'll work better in your car. Also, the whole thing is flimsy and whenever I put my phone in, I hold my breath until I know that I haven't broken it. I didn't want to pay for the "pro" car mounts, so I got what I paid for. (Actually I'd say it was about $10 more than what it should be). At any rate, it still works.

1. Nice holder but useless in the sun.
Bought this to track my bike outings with my Samsung cell phone. 1st problem was that my handlebars are way too thick for the clamp to fit unless I slide it all the way to the end where it interferes with the shifter. I thought of returning it right then and there but with a little modification I got it to fit. Cool, let's go riding!
I loaded up my Sports Tracker app on my phone and headed out. Got about 100ft from the house when I got out of the treeline and into the sun. The plastic cover turned into a mirror from the sunlight and the phone was thereby useless. In between shaded areas I was able to see the screen lightly but I really didn't want to take that much time with my eyes off the road to see the map I had laid out for my trip. So I did an alternate route and skipped my planned one for today. As I rode along mapless I thought I could cut off the front vinyl to see the phone better but then there goes the protection. 2. Excellent cell phone holder!
Got this for my husband, who is an avid "rider" - mountain bikes, road bikes, dirt bikes, 4-wheelers, and snowmobiles. It's currently in use on a big snowmobile trip - the guys were super excited to be able to load all the trail maps onto the smartphone, and then have them available right on the handlebars. Great for protecting that expensive phone and also has some extra room for keys and such.

The company was super great to work with too, measuring the case to make sure it would work for my husband's particular phone before I ordered it. Then they shipped it right away! I'm sure his buddies will be buying this case too.

It doesn't fit the Samsung Galaxy III. It isn't long enough and the location of the place to switch the phone on is in the wrong place. I think this is for an iphone.
